archon binoculars - binoculars how to

Compact Nikon binoculars are the handiest and most versatile of all optical instruments I have used. Widely used for stargazing, bird watching, hunting, and fishing, binoculars are of great use to sport and nature lovers.

There is a great difference in price, comparing a telescope and binoculars. The soft or rubber fold-down eye cups will give eyeglass wearers a better view by allowing them to see the entire field. Binoculars can also come in very large sizes but those are usually used by more professional viewers and need to be steadied by being placed on a tripod for support.

The fog proof models have interior optical surfaces that won't fog due to rapid temperature changes or humidity. The best result is achieved when multiple layers of coatings are applied, to the front and rear of the lens. The hard rubber exterior is extremely durable and offers a good grip, and the adjustable locking eye cups are another cool feature.

Many astronomers are professionals, but amateur observers have embraced the romance of stargazing also. Despite all of your preventive measures, there will come a time when your binoculars are damaged.
